This horse is offered on behalf of a client.

We are very fortunate that we had Matilda, an almost identical Roebuck rocking horse that retains original paint and enough harness to know what this horse would have looked like new. Its paint is the most exact re-creation we could achieve (more practice will make perfect but it's pretty convincing!). She has been antiqued to resemble the naturally darkened varnish on Matilda and has soft colouring.

Missing stand pieces have been rebuilt in reclaimed Kauri pine, with dimensions and pillar design copied from Matilda.
